The Orange Donkey

It seems meet that this subject should be now aired.

it used to be said that the Unionist party could field a donkey for election and it would win.

Has anything changed? Well, looking at loyalist areas of North Belfast, certainly not. Deprivation is everywhere. But so long as the marches are uppermost in the minds of the masses, all will be well.

Let’s look at a few Orange Donkeys.

Nigel Dodds and Jeffrey Donaldson. Compensation for victims of PIRA crimes. Twenty five years on, all we hear are the same old promises. I and others are at least walking wounded. Many victims live appalling lives of suffering. This duo of donkeys just witter.

Jamie Bryson. Did he shake hands with McGuinness? I have asked him twice, but he has not replied. What has this man done for the lives of the loyalist community?

Saving the best for last. Willie Frazer, that flim flam man of loyalism. Carpet Bagger extraordinaire. Seller of fake medicines to loyalism. That man , with no visible means of support and no visible results. Does Willie draw a salary from FAIR? If so how much? Can anyone tell me of any victim of the troubles who has received practical support from him, apart from a second hand cooker?

Let’s look at the Kingsmills project. if there was not a start to disclosure to the Coroner by 27 March , Willie was marching in Dublin. Well, the date has come and gone and there is no sign of Willie’s Dublin march and no sign of documents.  But, you see, he met the Irish Prime Minister. So that’s all right then.

Somehow, he is again the voice of FAIR, an organisation which is supposed to be non-sectarian. Let’s examine some recent Willie posts. Amnesty International is part of the Republican movement, apparently. The Irish Government financed the IRA murders of innocents, according to Willie.

Why was Willie not in Ballymurphy, supporting the claims of innocent victims there?

Did his handlers advise against it?

The point of this article is to draw attention, if such were needed , to the Big House Unionism which still prevails and to the followers on their coat tails, who , like Bryson and Frazer , make no practical difference to the most vulnerable in our society.

Cameron speaks with forked tongue?

The newspapers , in May and July 2014, including the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Telegraph, carried a story that the PM had appointed Sir Kim Darroch to “secure compensation for British victims” of Libyan/PIRA/Sinn Fein terrorism. It was reported that he would negotiate on behalf of the families. I have no doubt that this information came from Number Ten and that it was the same line peddled to the DUP when they had tea with Cameron in the garden. He was looking for their votes of course. The same story was given to my lawyers.

Here is what Sir Kim told me about his role: “This is a broad remit to lead discussions with the Libyans to facilitate progress for all UK victims of Qadhafi sponsored terrorism. It is not a mandate to secure payment of individual compensation claims.’ Cameron told him to “build a dialogue”.

So there you have it, misled again by Cameron, the man who almost daily tells you how tough he is on terrorism. The deaths from semtex occurred twenty five years ago.

This British Government is a laughing stock abroad. It contributes almost nothing to the war on IS. It has left Libya prey to IS, Cameron having got his photo opportunity there. Afghanistan was a military disaster. Despite hectoring NATO allies to spend two percent of GDP on defence, he refuses to implement that spending here.

If any British citizen thinks that the world of terrorism fears us, think again. The Government of Toffs is incompetent.

I trust that the DUP will not promise their support in the event of a hung parliament.

Barristers

Legal services in Northern Ireland are in crisis. There is no doubt about that. On the one side stand the forces of Minister Ford, Alliance,  and  his well paid officials. Already they are two times winners over the legal profession.

As in all causes , there are two sides. There are fat cats in my profession. Some knew exactly how to play the game and became very rich. But they did not steal the money. Ford’s officials paid them.

There are also what a famous English rugby player called “the old farts”, who run and are part of the system.

At the other end the majority of barristers do their best to represent their clients.

The menace for the citizen is that the State, the Assembly, wants no opposition. Paul Given would have flourished in Berlin.

The unholy alliance of DUP/Sinn Fein/IRA wants no opposition.

At present, the citizen relies on Jim Allister , Stephen Nolan and the legal profession.

Where do the LGBT community, the poor , the oppressed, those without hope, go for support?

In the old bar library, I sat at a table with five colleagues. Of the six, two were Protestants from North Belfast , four were Roman Catholics  from Belfast and elsewhere. All were the first in their family to go to university .

If minister Ford has his way nobody , client or your child, will have access to the legal system , unless you are very rich.

Is that what you want?

NI Executive, Libya and the opportunity

One of the problems with the present talks is lack of additional money. Another is funding “the past”. In May 2011, the National Transitional Council in Libya signed a memorandum of understanding in which they said that it was their “sincere desire to enter discussions to consider an appropriately resourced humanitarian fund to be set up to recognise the pain and suffering of such victims and the wider society in the UK , and in particular Northern Ireland”. This was after it had apologised for the harm caused by the supply of guns and semtex to PIRA, led by Martin McGuinness and others.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office was tasked with examining ways in which this fund might be established and resourced. Three years on , it has made no progress.

It is estimated that 3,500 people, mostly in Northern Ireland, could benefit from this fund. It is an important aspect of dealing with the past.

Billions of pounds of Gadafy’s assets are frozen in the UK , yet no politician, or lawyer, local or national,  appears to have the skill to make this happen.

“Dealing with the past”

Much is being made of the idea that whilst no progress can be made on flags and marches, agreement has been reached “on the past”.

Of course, it is not the past. It is for thousands of people, their  present and their future. I am lucky. I have no physical scars or injuries. Thousands have. Many of us bear the scars in other ways.

So how can it be the past?

The answer is that it is a useful phrase for the DUP and SinnFein/IRA to deploy. It implies that the matter is not as important as the present or the future. Jobs, health, education, etcetera.

It connotes “get over it”.

Nor will it deal with the prosecution of people such as Martin McGuinness who directed the murder of so many people.

I have no notion of what might be suggested as an agreement on this between these two “warring” but avaricious parties.

It will be another shameful capitulation by the DUP .

Whatever it is , it will not be in the interests of those who are broken and maimed.

Mark my words.

Martin McGuinness mass murderer

A big thank you to the Irish News and Allison Morris for publishing my allegations of murder by Martin McGuinness. If you will bear with me I will develop  this in the next few days. I’m sure that the editor of the Irish News will follow events with excitement.

A big shout out too , to Allison’s  dissident IRA partner Fernando Murphy [do you hear the drums ,Fernando?]

One can only speculate on the provenance of today’s article.

Barra McGrory, the burden of his past; part II

Paul Given, the chairman of the Stormont justice committee has got it wrong. The DPP is correct in his decision not to publish the Attorney’s report . Liam Adams’ conviction is to be appealed and is therefore sub judice.

It exposes Mr Given’s lack of understanding [shocking for the chairman of the justice committee] and his poor choice of subject. McGrory is a Director holed below the waterline as a result of his extensive representation of Sinn Fein/PIRA. He is excluded from participation in many prosecutorial decisions because of this.

If Given had any wit he would have made a better fist of this resignation demand by citing more compelling cases , such as the failure to prosecute McGuinness .

McGuinness, the murderer

I first asked the DPP and the Chief Constable to make further enquiries into what I allege is the involvement of McGuinness in the murders of  my parents, in May this year.

After insufficient responses from the PSNI, I gave them one final opportunity to respond, before I set out here the allegations. That matter has been with the DCC, Harris, for several weeks.

Having undecided a decision he had made against me, Barra McGrory delegated responsibility , on 5th June, to his Senior Assistant Director, Stephen Herron. He promptly went on leave. On 12th September, Mr Herron promised me a reply “within two weeks”.

I am still waiting.

I suppose I have to join the queue behind the decision whether to prosecute Adams, the review of Adams in respect of his brother’s case and the review into the cases associated with Ms Cahill .

Dodds Law

Just to keep you updated on our MEP.

She hosted a meeting of innocent victims of terror at the EU. I presume they told their stories, were patted on the head and sent home. Nothing tangible came from it.

No mention of course of the billions of Euros of Gadafy’s money which the EU have frozen yet will not pay out to “innocent victims of terrorism”, and about which she will make no application.

Meantime she now wants you to back a campaign to refuse to pay money to the EU.

Bites the hand that feeds her?

Diane Dodds, what is she good for?

Diane Dodds

Readers may recall that this DUP MEP undertook to support my campaign for compensation for those killed or injured by PIRA semtex. I asked her to lobby the European Union for the release of a tiny fraction of the billions of pounds of frozen Libyan funds.

She agreed to help.

I have emailed her , asking for an update, on 25 September and 13 October, but no reply.

Those who voted for her might be interested in the subject matter of the ten written questions she is recorded by the EU  as having asked in the period August to September 2014.

Tackling the hyper-sexualisation of society

Securing a safe and transparent food chain

Compliance with the EU Industrial Emissions Directive

EU législation pertaining to VAT registration

Support for those fleeing the Islamic State on Turkish Border

Sustaining an acceptable working age

Preventing a rise in EU anti-Semitism

EU action against the Islamic State

Protection for minority faith groups in Iraq

Improving air safety in conflict zones

Impressive stuff you might think and all close to the hearts and interests of the ordinary NI citizen

Mrs Dodds has an interesting record re question asking. On 20th May 2014 the Belfast News Letter reported that at the mid point of the last EU parliament, she had asked just 39 questions. But by April 2014, as the election neared, “that number had soared to 437”. The paper went on –of the 437 questions 77% have been asked “since the start of last year”

One wonders what the DUP is good for.
