Invest NI Money before principles

In 2014 Invest NI led a delegation to Libya while that country refused to compensate victims for the harm caused by their supply of Semtex to PIRA.

Of course, it was a delegation approved by the DUP and particularly by Arlene Foster, who should know , more than most , what Gadafy did here.

It raises the question ,posed most remarkably by Jamie Bryson, does this state exist for the aggrandisement of the few at the expense of the many?

What does the DUP really stand for? Corruption, fracking, land grabbing , planning scams, sexual misdemeanours, anti-gay angst, queer sects and more?

Noel Johnston, of Invest NI said “Libya is becoming an important place for our companies.” How interesting for those whose family members are dead, maimed or crippled at their hands.

Humpty Dumpty sat on the fence

Humpty Dumpty told Alice that if he ever fell off the wall, the King would send all his horses and all his men to pick him up.

Our own policing Humpty Dumpty can look forward to the Queen sending him a knighthood, providing he stays on the fence.

Last night Sharon O’Neill asked him a very obvious question; “Who is the leader of PIRA?”

His answer was that membership is a criminal offence and he wasn’t going to do or say anything or speculate on anything which could undermine any future court proceedings.

So there you are Dear Reader, the Chief Con is on the case “following the evidence”. Can’t you see him with his magnifying glass and cape , accompanied by Joe 90, examining the footpaths of West Belfast?

Of course he could have arrested a sizeable proportion of PIRA high command the other week when he met them in a hall in West Belfast, a hall being guarded by a PIRA run security company. He shook hands with a man who has murdered many innocent people. The butchers boy from the Bogside.

To imagine for a moment. George causes a file to be sent to Barra-Boy. It contains evidence against senior members of PIRA, it being a proscribed organisation. Barra, because of his past would have to pass it to the team which bought you such block busters as Cahill and McCartney.

This is just a little fantasy for two reasons.

  1. A number of the northern command and the Belfast brigade PIRA are state agents. Therefore George and MI5 know exactly what is going on in PIRA and keep the Secretary of State informed.
  2. I have been asking since 1990 why no senior member of PIRA was questioned about the murders of my parents.

No senior member of PIRA has ever been convicted.

As Northern Ireland descends into chaos and farce with this , Nama, Red Sky and other imbecilic acts, will the unionist parties have the courage to act?

Don’t hold your breath. As they often say in Ahoghill; “Deus ex machina”.

Derry INLA parade, an update

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch have taken time out from investigating murders to review video evidence form the O’Hara funeral.

Looking at footage from a Landrover some thirty metres away , Sgt Andrew Windsor said “The guy in the third row , right, looks like someone I arrested five years ago. It’s his belly I recognise”

Constable Nelson Wellington said “many of these people appear to have a leg deformity, preventing them from marching properly. I shall be reviewing the DLA records in Londonderry to see if they have claimed.”

Meanwhile, in an astonishing development, it was revealed that a PSNI drone had been deployed at the march to look for tattoos. It captured twenty two tattoos [ not easy to say] and police are visiting parlours to see if tattooists can identify anyone who has had “FUCK THE PSNI” tattooed recently.

In another twist , Chief Inspector William Boyne said that a female marcher was wearing a size 22 white blouse and that he was confident that he could pin point this person as having bought it in Primark.

Asked if arrests were expected soon the Divisional commander smiled.

We asked retired prosecutor Peter Swiftone if there was a chance of convictions in the case. He said ” I haven’t seen a decent file come out of Derry since Martin McGuinness was prosecuted.”

We pointed out that he ultimately wasn’t.

Swiftone, took his glass of red wine from his lips and said “precisely”.

Martin McGuinness a sense of outrage?

Given the remarks by participants in BBC Spotlight and previous accusations by me and others, what does it take for McGuinness to be arrested and questioned?

You might think that the DUP and the UUP would be outraged on behalf of their constituents but they are silent. I wonder why?

Will this community never face the truth?

Let me be clear, as politicians are keen to say.

Martin McGuinness is a multiple murderer who was in charge of northern command PIRA and a member of the army council. He probably retains those roles.

He was instrumental in the killing of my parents. He has been accused of all these matters before yet he has not chosen to contest the allegations in court.

I wonder does he have an assurance from the state that he will not be prosecuted?

Shall we ask Barra McGrory, his former lawyer? Now , God help us , Director of [some] Public Prosecutions.

God moves in a mysterious way…

…….His wonders to perform….

After Hymn singing in Ballymena and poor manners exhibited by Robinson in East Belfast, I wonder why God deserted the DUP in South Antrum?

I suspect that the answer is that reasonably liberal unionists wanted the same and a man who showed some personal interest in the constituency.

Onwards now with Danny, not an intellectual giant but a decent man. Willie will have more time for pastoring and singing.

Onwards too with the final push for justice for my parents and for compensation for hundreds of families affected by Libyan Semtex.

Meanwhile in Frazerworld, not a sign of a document  from the ROI or an inquest, just the same old bigotry.

Why I’m voting for Danny

In South Antrim , voters have only two serious candidates for Westminster. The Reverend Doctor William McCrea, politician, blow in from Mid Ulster, pastor, singer and invisible man.

The other is Daniel de Burgh Kinahan, Big House Unionist.

McCrea, in my personal experience , has done nothing for victims and precious little for anyone else.

Empey got within 1183 votes of him the last time.

Kinahan appears to have been a busy MLA. He voted for same sex marriage though his response to me on abortion was vague and evasive.

It’s dispiriting that in the twenty first century , choices are still as limited as fifty years ago.

So, with not a pro-union left wing candidate in contention, it’s Castle Upton for me, rather than Clan McCrea.

Mairia Cahill-Spring offensive

Quite out of the blue the other day, she contacted me via Facebook messenger. She suggested that I had written ‘horrible blogs’ about her.

Puzzled by this , given that I have written nothing about her for six months and suspecting Republican journalism, I asked for particulars. I even re-read my blogs, which were factual.

My blogs were ‘out of order’. ‘I was raped . And abused. As were other children…I didn’t make myself a public figure’ This was somewhat startling. Some of these allegations were new to me.I suggested, in order to de-fuse things, that she might be having a bad day and I thanked her for her insight.

Undaunted, she replied “if you continue to write in the vein you have , I’m going to the police.[The venue was not specified]

What can the reader deduce from this contact , which has ceased since I suggested that her messages might themselves be harassment?

1. She is a sad figure, who believes her own publicity. Mostly concocted by others to beat up SF/PIRA. [see DUP, HMG, FG]

2. She may well have been the subject of crime for which the perpetrators, her erstwhile Republican buddies, have escaped justice.

3.She is intimately related to the inner circle of Republicanism.

4. She would have given little thought [and made no mention] re the murder of my parents.

5. She thinks that she is ‘ the girl in the big picture’.

6. Interestingly, she told me that she was willing to give evidence against her alleged rapist but that the prosecution pulled the plug.

But let’s suspend judgement till we hear from Kier, who is currently on the hustings for Labour.

I am told , by the way , that she has issued similar threats to others, some of whom have contacted the police.

Some might say that Republicans can never quite shrug off the iron fist of Franco and Hitler….

The right to march

Dear Tesco,

I know that I am a single female parent and that I have  three children and that I can’t afford to pay for their weekly shop but the DUP have assured  me that I will have a right to march.

So everything is ok then?

I have been watching the unionist parties since the 1960s. Beat the drum, fly the flag, tell the masses that the union is under attack. Get the vote.

When will the working class of North Belfast wake up? Ever?

Nigel Dodds [‘the mighty Dodds’]  and his wife clean up over £150,000 per year and live in Banbridge.

So much for being a man of the people.

Of course for women, Jim Allister is hardly a twentieth century alternative.

Willie awakes

It’s good to see that the Reverend Doctor William McCrea has taken time out from pastoring and singing to front a statement about victims. He says that the DUP will seek a definition of a victim which excludes terrorist perpetrators.

Most often seen as a nodding head behind his more capable colleagues at Westminster, the reclusive MP for South Antrim [he has twice failed to answer queries from me] describes the current law as “immoral”.

This will be of huge comfort to the victims of Libyan Semtex who, after twenty five years, have yet to see any compensation and much action from the DUP.

Of the one hundred “demands” as the Irish Times described them today, only one relates to victims and this is it.

Victims and their survivors might ponder that in the voting booth.
